So I had to pay for this exhaust system that has issues.
Can I just return it. Get my money back.
I will just install a working exhuast from one of the fine vendors on this site.

Took my car to the dealer today. Chevy engineers are coming out and said they have a new fix for this issue. My car is going to be the test. Will update if this works.

Please keep this updated! I am currently trying to get a dealer to listen to me that this noise is from the exhaust and not, at what they suggested, an oil pan and drive train.

I'd like to hear if it works or not.

Heard from Dealer yesterday that my car has to sit idle for 24 hours after the fix. I will be picking it up Friday morning. Sounds like they used epoxy but wont know for sure until tomorrow. Will update again.

Looking forward to hearing if they fixed this for you.

Picked up car today. Drove it around and no more Rattling noise. The manager told me the gm engineers used an industrial adhesive on the 2 screws that hold the flap and that it should fix the problem now. So far so good and the car sounds so much better. Will update if I start hearing the rattle again.

Did they mention if it was going to result in a TSB? I have a second appointment for the exhaust rattle on Tuesday and I feel I'll be at a crossroad...replace the exhaust or somehow get them to contact someone at GM to get the adhesive.

Also, another user on this forum (jimmypop13) had the epoxy put on as well some time ago (not sure exactly when or where it was applied) and he mentioned the rattle was gone. I am not sure if it is still working...

Thanks for keeping us updated.

Update. Car still sounding good. The service dept manager over at felix chevy gave me a call to follow up on my car. I told him it was still sounding great. He told me to let everyone know who has this problem to call them. They know how to fix it.

Have your dealership call them if you have the same problem.

Thanks for the update.

My Camaro is currently at the dealer as I type and they were going to give GM a call directly. I just hope that they get someone that knows the issue and a fix. If they don't hear anything I will have them give Felix a call. Thanks for the information.

I just got back from the dealer. He talked with Chevy Engineers and they are doing a complete exhaust replacement. I will update with results when they parts are installed.

First, sorry to hear you are having more trouble...it certainly sucks for all of us to have been having little or big problems. I think, next time, I will likely wait a model year on a new platform. However, I do believe that GM/Chevy is taking care of me as best as possible.

One thing I learned with the HUD rattle sound is that GM will accept cell phone video as proof enough for your tech to go to stage 2 of working on it (basically taking you from the tech needing to "reproduce the problem" to actually digging in and ordering parts).

Good Morning Megawatts,

It’s good to hear that you’ve been able get your Camaro into the dealer, and that they seem to have a solution for your exhaust concern. If you have any questions during or after your visit, please feel free to ask.

Best,

I was just told by my Dealer that the buzzy exhuast that rattles is Normal.
GM told them that.
