Just up front. Rears bolt right up perfectly.

So I decided to bolt up the ZL1 1LE OEM ties on OEM sized/offset BC forged wheels. Wow, I was blown away. How early you can go to throttle with the 325 rear is mind boggling. Pretty unreal for a OEM 100tw factory tire. This is a pretty damn solid lap, I had a mid/high 1:35 indicated on my Aim Solo, but I got a touch loose in the carousel at the end of the lap. Enjoy!

Interesting aside- same day, best I saw on my 305/30 19 square Hankook RS4’s was a 1:39.6. That was pushing HARD too! 3.4 seconds on a 1:40 lap is pretty crazy. Pace differential I’d expect on slicks, not 100tw tires.

I keep seeing a lot of this, seems the G3Rs are as good as slicks.

I have a lot of time on slicks, and was running with a good friend on PZero DH's this same weekend. Agreed, the 3R's are closer in times to a DOT slick (Hoosier R7) than they are a street tire. They are at least a second slower at Mid Ohio vs. a non-dot slick (Pirelli DH). My friends on DH's would close me in slow mechanical grip corners when I was on the 3R's.

Do you like the DTC 60 better than the DTC 70?

I’m only speaking for myself here, but I went from 70’s to 60’s and hated them. The bite felt inconsistent (and I had new fluid, so it wasn’t that) compared to the 70’s. The 70’s never gave me a reason to doubt that I would stop, and the 60’s had me nervous going into the end of the back straight at Mid-Ohio.

Holy $hit Eric That's faster than all stock ZL1 1LEs that posted their laps - except for one (and not counting your own on Pirellis). Congrats!

PS did the rears just bolt on, or did ya have to move the harness out of the way?

Not speaking for him, but on my 17 SS 1LE, in the rear, both 345 R7's and 325 G3R's (almost the same OD & Section Width) did not rub on the wheelhouse liner nor wiring harness using OEM 19x12 ZL1 1LE wheels. Stock ride height, stock FE4 suspension.

Up front required the normal strut grinding with -2.7 front camber with the ZL1 1LE fronts (305 G3R's and 315 R7's).

Thanks, yeah the car was just insanely hooked up. If you watch my throttle trace at every corner, it is mind-boggling how early and hard you can go to gas with the wide rear wheel/tire.

Rears bolt right up, no fender-liner contact. No harness movement.

You can get five 305-325's in the car if you want. One in the trunk, three across the rear seat area, one in the front passenger seat - if you really want.

For the trunk, I have the rear plastic cover off of the latch striker. If putting a 12" wide rim'd tire in, I take off the latch striker (two bolts) - have it paint marked to the body for quick alignment.
