I'm assuming they perform the update by plugging into the OBDII port? Anyone know?

So far I've already noticed that when I turn off the car, my ambient lighting turns back to the default blue. Curious if anybody else is having this issue, or if anybody has any recommendations on how to fix it.

Edit: I'm just blind and didn't notice that the match drive mode was checked. It seems it defaults to blue when that is checked and you turn the car off.

If anybody does this; just make sure you go through and reset all your settings to what they were. (Autolock/etc)

There are a couple of settings that were reset. The blue ambient lighting was one of them but I changed mine back to my color and it's fine after re-starts

My 23 ZL1 is also impacted.

Probably going to wait until we find out exactly what is being resolved before I bring it in. I'm not noticing any problems ATM.

If they can "fix" and "improve" all this other stuff, I sure as hell hope they solved the "delete keys and make new keys in 30 seconds via the OBD-II port"" problem that has resulted in rampant theft of Camaros...

My lighting was also reset to Match Driving Mode. My backup camera seemed to have lost connection but after a restart or two it came back. Told the dealership I’d bring it by if it happened it again, otherwise nothing

Complete, and ask to tec performing the update and he said it had to do with gauges as he re-calibrated them. Here is the GM description. As with others lighting reset to drive mode. The dealer inquired about my P3 gauge and then ask about any tunes. As far as tunes he said just inform him if one is installed B/C if you don't and the recall gums the works you're paying the recall and any fixes! Also, no codes present after recall.

I am a locksmith in NE Atl. If anyone with the update, would like us to attempt to make a key, to see if the easy to steal issue is resolved, PM me. No charge unless you want an extra key. You would have to meet us near Norcross/Lilburn area.

Vehicle Owners’ Recall Rights: What You Should Know (2024)

LemonLawFirm

The recall process starts when the manufacturer or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) identifies that a vehicle poses an unreasonable safety risk or fails to meet safety standards. If your vehicle is recalled, the manufacturer will inform you, explain the defect, and propose a remedy, such as repair, replacement, or possibly a refund.

What information is GM not disclosing?

GM disclosed the root cause to Recall #N242480630, a $2000 upgrade to the A10 Gen. 2 Valve Body.

We should have the right to know.

The BCM Enhancement is not a recall as defined by the NHTSA. Yes, on your Chevrolet.com account it shows "recall". Whether it's an oversight or intentional to push people to receive the update, it does not have an NHTSA #. Nowhere in the info states it is a NTHSA recall. I input my VIN on the NHTSA website and only the A10 recall comes up.

Don't be surprised if they do nothing about the A10 recall. Already had a dealer tell me they won't do anything, because there is no fix, when there is.
