I ordered it. ....I feel like the adapter might come with the knob, given that it was ordered as a Camaro shift knob, but even if it doesn't, the adapter was discounted to only $5, BEFORE the black friday discount, so it was a no brainer to just order another one just in case.

Yeah I noticed that too, I just ordered my red shift knob recently with no adapter and it didnt come with one. So good call on adding the adapter. It was an option a few weeks ago. I dont know why that option changed but the $5 was going to be attached to the price overall so good job adding to the your cart.

Here's my knob!

Had it for a couple years, I like the position of the knob w/extender.

This should help you out with the adapter.

The boot collar is the dress up the bottom of the extender to hide the boot. It’s optional and not needed just personal preference

Hey Dave,

How do you get along with the higher lever when on track? Did it take some getting use to? Overall impressions?

I like it. Less movement of hand between wheel and shifter, and the weight + leverage works well too. Didn't take any time to get used to. It's all just personal preference though, I find the stock shifter a bit notchy and short, this setup seems a little smoother.

Okay cool! I guess I'll just have to try mine out. I do wish I got a smaller knob like yours.

You may be right...

I looked up the dimensions between the Ashiko and the Slammer and their total height & width are actually the same. The Ashiko just looks smaller maybe because of the shape; conical design vs a sphere.

Funny, I also drive a S2K and so comparatively, the RacesEng is massive!
