Regarding brands, honestly, it came down to my lack of knowledge. I was only aware of BMR since I'm relatively new to the car world. I just kind of went with them because of the readily available information on the WWW. I'll look into SPL. Yesterday my Strut Tower Brace arrived and I got it installed along with the Solar throttle body. This car is begging for a tune now. |

Got the strut tower brace bolted up along with the Solar 87mm (91EFF) throttle body.
Absolutely zero body roll now. Zero.

I also rotated the tires from left to right and upon further inspection, the fronts were cording only after that first track day. *sigh

Went out for the first session and electronics went crazy. I ended up flashing the car here at the track with the updated tire circumferences.
Nearly missed the first session. Car was going into limp mode etc. |

give us some info on tire height deltas etc...any tire sensor issues which our cars require all or none to function properly?

Every session the car throws TPMS codes, Service Axle codes, and when I turn off ESC and TC altogether, it actually manages to turn itself back on somehow. It’s been a complete mess. I feel like I need to calibrate the Tire Pressure Sensors in the race wheels for the codes to start to go away. |

As far as lap times go I’m running 1:14.2 in traffic. I need some clear track to hit PRs.

Okay guys so basically the day went well but the car was quirky as hell.
Pirelli DH Slicks 315/680/18 Front and 325/680/18 Rear. I changed the Circumference in HP tuners to: Rear: 325/680/18 = 2154mm Front: 305/680/18 = 2165mm Unfortunately that didn't help with any of the codes the car was throwing. I guess it only helped with the speedometer. I received the following codes throughout the day: - Tire Sensor Errors - The Traction Control light stayed on. I disabled the system and then it would turn itself back on randomly. Very frustrating. - Rear Axle - Fuel Pump Sensor B Low voltage Code U18A2 Weird!!!!! After the track day, I set the tire circumference back to stock, flashed the ECM and mounted the OEM tires. The car was fine on the 3hr drive home. Not a single error code. So I'm going to have the Tire Pressure Sensors in the wheels programmed and hopefully that will get rid of the errors next time. Fast lap time of the day was a 1:12.20 and I lost some momentum due to traffic. That would have been a 1:11.x lap. The Pirellis held up great and they did not cord after approx. 160 hard miles. So for me, 2 track days for $700 in tires is quite the bargain since I corded the GY3R after only 1 day. I think that will be my GoTo going forward. As far as how the tires felt on track, grip was amazing and it was consistent. The tires NEVER LET GO and my fastest laps came during the final session. Ambient temp was 90*F and it took approximately 1.5 laps to get heat into the tires. I ran 32psi hot off the track after every session but started the day with 26psi front and 28psi rear. The Pirelli does have a softer sidewall and you really do notice it when you load the front in the corners. It took me some getting used to because I like my car feeling as flat as possible but eventually it all came good and I had tons of confidence to push the car. I feel that the Hoosier A7/R7 would be a closer resemblance to the GY3R just based on sidewall design. I may try those in the future as an alternative. So now I'm going to take a few weeks off to recoup some $$$$ but at the next event I'm going to try and see if programming the sensors in the Apex wheels resolve the error codes I received today. ....to be continued.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

PDR Final Session uploaded. A handful of 1:12s in heavy traffic. The in cabin video is uploading in 4K. That's going to be a fantastic video.

Good to hear the tires themselves are working well!
