I have to say maybe its the 305 sc3's but I don't really spin much at all outside of a launch or something deliberate. Maybe once or twice chirped on a 1 - 2 shift.

Ok I have to agree with the original post, these cars have enough power to warrant better tires. If you have a lot of power, what good does it do if you can't hook. I'm thinking about the Nito 555. Any comments?

I changed up my suspension and put some bigger Toyo R888R tires on and don't get a ton of wheel spin with the nannies off. And I'm at 800HP/TQ, so, at least some new tires, sticky ones, and maybe not immediately hammering the throttle to the floor.

I have tried to get my camber adjusted more towards zero degrees, but apparently it is maxxed out at about -.9 degrees. I think if I can get it more towards zero it will help. Tire traction has a lot of non-linear science behind it, but apparently width dosen't help traction like you think it would. In other words increasing width 25% dosen't near get you close to gaining 25% more traction.

I know tire diameter (bigger diameter tires increase contact patch (actual tire rubber that touches the road)) helps with traction, and it helps a lot more than trying to increase width. Tire width is more helpful for lateral (cornering) traction.

The classical physics example of the frictional force being 100% independent of the contact area isn't 100% true anymore.

That being said I think getting the camber to a more zeroed value in the rear should still help a lot. Problem is I think I would have to get aftermarket upper control arms, since the last time someone tried to align it they said they couldn't go anymore.

Yes, some people think its "cool" when your tires spin haha, but I hate the fact that its just wasted energy and makes your car look slow. Look at the new C8 and the 0-60 times it is getting 2.9 seconds, with a comparable setup we have (the dual clutch is a little faster on upshift than a stock untuned 8L90, but I think the new C8 is heavier than the C7. Anyway by them just moving a few hundred pounds back they made a rear wheel drive car put power down the way it should.

Don’t have a lead foot , and it is pretty hard for me to break traction.
