305 rear, 285 front

Car has much better turn in an less understeer. Tends more towards neutral to slight oversteer. Tons of grip, and seems even more composed than before. Ride is great. I think it did nothing but improve everything about the dynamics of the car. I'm pretty impressed.
How about now?

Want to pull the trigger on suspension parts since the FE3 is so damn soft. Getting impatient on the full 1LE kit getting released.

I have a 285/35-19 square setup with BMR sways and end links, and I'd second those opinions. The bigger sways really "wake up" the MRC, and it all works very, very well together. Ride comfort is about 85% the same—certainly does *not* turn the car into a rattle-trap (also, credit to GM—underscores how solid the chassis is!). In the corners, however, Tour mode feels like the stock Sport setting did, Sport feels like stock Track, and Track feels like a grin-inducing WTF!

How do you know? Those BMR parts are top quality. They blow the crap GM threw on this car in the rear-end away. Those big oval cut outs were laughable. I've tested the BMR suspension parts on my car at WOT doing 0-60 pulls and getting my rear-end so loose that I could read my license plate. I'm not sponsored by anyone and will give them an A+.

Hey can anyone that has these sway bars still in a box give me an approximate weight? If you can just hold the box and stand on a bathroom scale and then subtract your weight, that's good enough for me. Thanks I appreciate it. I don't have any doubt that they work, but I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth it to me to add them vs. the added weight. I'm really happy with the handling of this car with just the upper and lower trailing arm swap out I did.

I picked up my ZL1/1Le sway bars today and weighed them and the one weighs 25.1# and the other weighs 28.4# +/- .2#........ they are fairly heavy. This is based on a bathroom scale and each sway being weighed 5 times and averaged and includes the bushings and clamps. The bars are 26mm and 28mm. ( NOTE: A 1" dia. steel bar weighs about 2.5# per foot.) Hope this helps.

The BMR upper & lower trailing arms is a must have for every SS.

Wow...Thanks for sending this. That's a lot of added weight! I'm sure they work well but I don't think I'm going to add them since I don't track the car. With the MRC, the BMR arms and bushings, and the Pilot Super Sport tires I've switched over to it handles just fine the way it is for me. I've tried taking tight corners hard and can't even get my tires to squeal. When I intentionally break the rear-end loose, it snaps right back into place without any wobble or tangible flexing. It feels good and very controlled so I'm not going to mess with it unless I start feeling it give or until I start tracking the car.

It does until you try the stiffer bars. I love the firmer planted feel and go-cart-like directional changes. The Hellwigs are tubular front and rear:

Nice find. Do you have any idea how much those weigh?

No it never crossed my mind before the install but I can't imagine its more than a couple pounds each over stock. AutoAnything had the best price I could find.

I'll shoot them an email to see if I can find out. I might have to do them with this:

...more $ lol!

I gave that some consideration too!

They are beautiful and absolutely stronger but I have to question the need for the torsional strength in our application. I assume the ZL1 arms are the same as SS OE, and with the track times that heavier car has put down why bother? And can't that arm/link weight be considered to be at least partially unsprung weight that moves with the rest of the suspension - and therefore must degrade suspension performance to some degree? Granted a heavier swaybar would also have the same effect...

It depends I guess. Some people might not need the rear upper and lower arms. I absolutely needed some type of upgrade back there because the added power I was putting down once I added my blower and headers was causing heel hop. The stock arms and bushings on the SS just couldn't handle it.

BTW - here are the weights on the Hellwig parts...looks like you save a few pounds.

Front - Part #55719 -18.6lbs
Rear - Part #55819 - 15.8lbs
