I'm sure the Advanti wheels would hold up fine. Even for autocross. You're going to almost double the price in wheels if you go forge lines which are obviously the better choice but I guess it depends on how much you're wiling to shell out for wheels.

18" Advanti Hybris is 20lbs, not the 19". The 19" would be in the 22lb area.
And don't be mixing tires to make up the lowest total figure..... ...then say it is Auto-X set-up....... Hybris is a Ford Focus favourite, just what you want in a track wheel. Spend a little more and pick-up something like the Vertini RF1.1 22.8 pounds for a 19x9.5. Flow forged as well. Hence my comment that the Hybris is nowhere near 20 pounds for a 19".

My Forgestar CF10s in 19x10ET30 weigh 25.1 lbs (take the 0.1 off for the plastic packaging), and 55.7 lbs balanced with 275/40ZR19 Sumitomo tires (TPMS sensors as well). ![]()

The Advanti wheel weights are posted on TireRack, so I'm guessing they are correct. The only thing that doesn't seem to make sense to me is that the 19x9.5s (20.0lbs) are lighter than the 19x8.5s (21.0lbs). This makes me wonder how accurate it is. Looking at other websites, they list the 19x8.5s as 21lbs and the 19x9.5s as 22.5lbs, I would say this is probably accurate. Quote:
After looking for a while, I think I'll probably play it safe and go with a known entity, the Forgestar CF5Vs. Rotis (a member here) is running them and has won several SCCA events with his setup. I'm not looking to compete nationally, but wouldn't mind doing well in some local events. Not sure if spending $3k on a wheel/tire setup is the best use of my money, but whatever. |

What's the weight difference between the 5 spoke, 5 split-spoke, and forged (convertible/v61le) OEM wheels on the SS?
