Now taking into consideration with the stock wheel and tire setup is roughly 248 total lbs:

(2) front tires: 60lbs
(2) rear tires: 66lbs
(2) front wheels: 60lbs
(2) rear wheels: 62lbs

then take:

(2) front advanti hybris 19": 42lbs
(2) rear advanti hybris 19": 40lbs
(2) front general gmax 245/45/19: 50lbs (general tire's site lists them at 25lbs)
(2) rear conti dw 275/40/19: 56lbs (continental's site lists them at 28 lbs each instead of what tire rack rates them at which is 30lbs)

the total of these is 188 lbs. So 248-188= 60lbs of wheel and tire weight saved!

How much would that translate at the track in terms of ET and MPH times? Couple tenths worth for such a lightweight setup?
I am debating between the advanti hybris vs forgelines cf-5vfor my autocross setup with 275/35/r19 bridgestone re-71rs. The advanti wheels are chinese flow forged, but are so darn cheap that it makes me wonder if i should really pass them up for the price. $240 per wheel with advanti vs $400 per wheel with the forgelines. I'll probably only put a few thousand miles on them over the next few years, so the advanti seems pretty reasonable, but I have no idea about their quality. Any thoughts?

I'm sure the Advanti wheels would hold up fine. Even for autocross. You're going to almost double the price in wheels if you go forge lines which are obviously the better choice but I guess it depends on how much you're wiling to shell out for wheels.

18" Advanti Hybris is 20lbs, not the 19". The 19" would be in the 22lb area.
And don't be mixing tires to make up the lowest total figure.....
...then say it is Auto-X set-up.......
Hybris is a Ford Focus favourite, just what you want in a track wheel.

Spend a little more and pick-up something like the Vertini RF1.1
22.8 pounds for a 19x9.5. Flow forged as well. Hence my comment that the Hybris is nowhere near 20 pounds for a 19".

Are Advanti Hybris really 20lbs per wheel... seems very light for a flow-forged wheel. Did someone weigh a set with the width and offset we need on something besides their bathroom scale?

Do you mean Forgestar CF5? Forgelines are fully forged and don't cost $400 per wheel, unfortunately :(

My Forgestar CF10s in 19x10ET30 weigh 25.1 lbs (take the 0.1 off for the plastic packaging), and 55.7 lbs balanced with 275/40ZR19 Sumitomo tires (TPMS sensors as well).

Yes, sorry, I meant Forgestar CF5V (I might have had some wine at the time). They weigh approximately the same as the Advanti wheels, probably within 1.5lbs or so.

The Advanti wheel weights are posted on TireRack, so I'm guessing they are correct. The only thing that doesn't seem to make sense to me is that the 19x9.5s (20.0lbs) are lighter than the 19x8.5s (21.0lbs). This makes me wonder how accurate it is. Looking at other websites, they list the 19x8.5s as 21lbs and the 19x9.5s as 22.5lbs, I would say this is probably accurate.

The Vertini looks nice. Do you know the offsets they offer?

After looking for a while, I think I'll probably play it safe and go with a known entity, the Forgestar CF5Vs. Rotis (a member here) is running them and has won several SCCA events with his setup. I'm not looking to compete nationally, but wouldn't mind doing well in some local events. Not sure if spending $3k on a wheel/tire setup is the best use of my money, but whatever.

Wheel weight depends a good deal on the offset as well; flow-formed wheels have a predefined profile with the hub extending to fill for the offset. Hubs on these are cast and add to the weight substantially. TireRack and Advanti could just be listing the lightest possible weight for a given size...

What's the weight difference between the 5 spoke, 5 split-spoke, and forged (convertible/v61le) OEM wheels on the SS?
