I'll dig up some logs but honestly I've always been super impressed how cool my setup (ECS kit) runs .... even my tuner stated that without the water/meth my IATs never got above low 120s he joked and even said the water/meth wasn't worth it at this boost/IAT and this was a 95 deg day outside LOL
From all of the data-logs I can remember in even very hot/humid track conditions I never saw higher than around the 120deg IAT mark and even that was pretty rare. Often the IAT mark never even eclipses the 100deg level by the end of the 1/4mile, roll race, highway pull or what ever I was running at the time. The 1500SL is a very efficient headunit from the data seen and this kit has great heat management/ very large front mount IC on top of that.' Of course I'm not running very much boost so that helps also (5.5-6 psi) but that's also because I'm making plenty of power at this boost level and don't need any more just yet but do have some plans. -Jon

IAT IAT2 MAT I reference MAT because it can no be confused with IAT and MAT is what the ECU references for timing correction.

Sorry your correct I just noticed that not sure everything was running very cool all things considered I'll take a look for exact numbers.

1. Be sure you are logging the correct Manifold Air Temp - there are 2, one is calculated, one is actual. Only way I know how to find the right one is to log them both with key on, engine off than disconnect the MAT sensor. The "Actual" one will immediately default to -40F the calculated one will still display a temperature. 2. Be sure that your intercooler system is full! Cold water from the radiator should be routed into the bottom fittings of the intercoolers with a Y (not a tee) and it is critical that the cooler are filled when running. My system is completely stock except for adding a Magnuson reservoir to the outlet of the intercoolers for a better fill point and a Y to feed the coolers near my MAF meter. We recently ran a half mile event with the car, made 8 passes without opening the hood or any cooldown other than key off in the staging lanes. Ambient temp was 73F car has an M7 transmission Car left the starting line with a MAT of 142F At the shift to second (64MPH) MAT was 126F - max of 55% throttle and 160kPa could be used in first gear. At the shift to third (95MPH) MAT was 100F - Full throttle at the end of 2nd gear with a peak MAP of 232 kPa At the shift to fourth (120MPH) MAT was 77F - Full throttle for 3rd gear with a peak MAP of 237 kPa At the shift to 5th (148MPH) MAT was 79F - Full throttle for 4th gear with a peak MAP of 240 kPa Finish line in 5th (170.5 MPH) MAT was 84F - Full throttle for 5th gear with a peak MAP of 233 kPa As you can see from the data, a correct operating PD system will start with heat soak from the standing engine, then recover quickly once the throttle is opened increasing mass flow through the coolers. The MAT is high at idle and cruise conditions because there isn't enough airflow through the coolers. Once WOT is hit the MAT should drop quickly to nearly the temp of the water in the system (which should be close to ambient temp) Once the pass is under way we can see the cross over point at the end of third gear where the water temp had been warmed and the MAT will slowly increase until equilibrium is found between the cooling in the low temp radiator in the front of the car and the heating provided from the intercooler cores (which from experience is about 15-20 degrees on a Z06 (less on a Camaro thanks to a bigger low temp radiator) Hope this helps.

We upgraded fuel system on P1x car today to FIC +30 with LPE pump. Got up to E68-70 @ .83 afr target. High side just starts to drop a touch up top, plenty of injector left. SOI 361, EOI 150. Looks like it gained a decent amount of power from the last log but it was hotter out and pulling timing. I don't use the HP calculator PID as a end all be all...just there to compare changes similar to a Dyno. Went from 805hp to 872hp. Again that doesn't mean I think it makes 872 bhp. There are things that can manipulate the numbers such as VTT but once you have it all set up it can be used to verify changes. It gained about 7hp from E55 to 68.

I would like to see the D1x heat. I'm working on my Zl1 axle shaft install but after that I guess I could get some data run, I only have 92 octane here so my PSI is going to be down on a 4"? pulley at 7200 RPM. I thought Prochager's race intercooler was huge and removed the safety bumper, I noticed the new race one is a water - air deal. Procharger says this was done because at speeds above say 180 MPH, the thick race and / or stage II intercooler was acting like a brick and not letting air go through. Kind of interesting as Procharger has used their air / air intercooler as a major selling point.
There can be some simple shields that can be built on the driver's side to get some cool air to the procharger's air filter from the front left fender, the shield sits uner the filter, above the valve cover. I have mine off as I'm installing stainless steal engine compartment bling.

Did some searching and my stage II looks like this, so maybe it was in my dreams and Prochager never had a "race" air to air.
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=505153 I can say the crash beam does block a good amount of the stage II intercooler, so I guess the "race" setup I'm thinking about is just cut away the crash beam and maybe run a more ZL1 looking front bumper. Already noted the current Procharger race set is air to water. I'm too cheap and lazy to do that, plus my car is more of a cars and coffee car and the more intercooler I can show out the front the more "chops" I get when I pull into the lot. LOL Anyway if anybody has a picture or remembers a 6th gen air to air race intercooler, please post. You can see here the Stage II intercooler here is blocked. Interesting that they claim only a 115 IAT, Ryne is the same tuner I used BTW. https://www.lsxmag.com/tech-stories/...er-procharger/ I did find this and even though it is a turbo kit, the intercooler looks similar, the 4" core fits with crash beam and the 6" core requires cutting away the crash beam. To my mind this would be a nice set-up in terms of looks and performance a 6" core, with modified crash beam (I'd do a solid aluminum bar about 1.25 thick and 6" wide at the top of the factory crash beam), and maybe a ZL1 front / grill or cut away tastefully the SS bumper and make it a "power slot". Long and short of it all, I think the D1x and /or a modified crash beam with 4" and /or a 6" intercooler OR water to air would be interesting to compare. Gut feeling the Procharger with comparable unit flow is going to run cooler than a roots based unit. I always liked air to air and I'm a bit surprised by the Procharger "race" air to water (which also opens the door to an air-condition cooled unit too). I now have as a 4th or 5th toy an Edelbrock supercharged Miata that runs a roots unit with air to water intercooler that I'm quite happy with. I went roots for the Miata for various reasons vs a centri. https://www.huronspeed.com/products/...turbo-kit-race I know you can't race pictures but this unit sans the crash brace sure looks like it has a lot of cooling surface vs a stage II unit pictured in the LSX article with factory crash brace, plus it can go to 6" inches OMG...

Cordes Performance offers a tubular front bumper support that blocks less airflow.

Yep. I’ve got a brand new, unused, one sitting in my garage if anyone wants to make a reasonable offer.
