The video clearly shows two separate driving events. Just saying.

The 10 speed auto will kick the ass of the hellcat. It won't be the same as a cts-v with a stick. Its going to keep the R's up and its not going to be pretty for the kitty.

I saw 320 kilometers per hour. Which is 198.84 mph. Not sure where you saw 199?

That's very possible, could be on a dyno, sure seems like it just keeps pulling.

The ZL1 will definitely get the hellcat from a dig with the auto. A roll on will definitely be a good race. Can't wait to see.
I agree with this, from a dig the ZL1 should it, if it packs 650+hp. From a roll the Hellcat's 707 underated hp is going to be awfully hard to overcome. Also who knows if Dodge is planning an upcoming surprise with the Hellcat to ensure it stays on top.

I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this so here it goes I'll think out loud...

The Cat is an amazing straight line car. Not sure we will even have a chance. It's a very one dimensional car.. Take it around a track with the ZL1 and we will lose the Cat in the first turn then the parties over.

I for one want a multi dimensional car that does multiple things well. That's the ZL1 2017...

Amen!

They are both going to be(HC is and ZL1 will be) very fast and capable cars - the question is which one do you prefer and why? Which car "does it for you"?

Personally, I can appreciate the beastly-ness of the Hellcat, the 707 HP, and the very well executed retro look. However, I'm not all that into the retro look, i'm not all that into the size and weight of it, I'm not all that into the skinny tires, and while 707 is amazing, there's more to performance than HP (why don't we talk about torque, they are equal ZL1 and HC). so for me - I'll pass on the kitty from an ownership point of view.
What I like about the ZL1 is it will have plenty of power, better PWR than the HC, I like the modern design with subtle cues to its heritage, I like that it is more than just a boat with a huge engine - it's a performance car, not a muscle car like the HC.

To each their own.

The hellcat is great at straight line speed and I'm sure it can handle ok. But the ZL1 will do everything great. Gonna be a sweet car

the ZL1 would need 675 to make it a for sure kill in a line, otherwise drivers race with hellcat having mainstream popularity thinking the kitty is king. ZL1 will be the under dog from the factory. A better platform once you start throwing down $$ on mods. Who knows maybe they will offer a stage kit you can order from factory with waranty, intake re-tune 650-670. Really hoping for warranty approved gm parts.
