My floor was 30 years old, I just finished the coating and I'm very pleased with it. Yes, it was a good bit of prep work, but I took my time doing it over a month (including taking stuff down to the basement, etc). I think it was WELL worth it. Now that it's been done for 2 weeks, I've only been able to find 3 smaller-than-dime-size spots where the Rustoleum RockSolid didn't cover - or at least the color didn't cover, but there's a clear coating over it that is completely hard. So my prep work was good, I guess. All of the spots that I was worried about (rust spot from the snowblower, oil leaks, etc) all covered up just fine (of course I got them as clean as I could, including sanding). Here are 2 pics before cleaning, and 2 more pics after the final cleaning. My coating pics are posted above.

I looked into the pro coating but damn its expensive…
Get the durability part and it looks fantastic but would rather put that money somewhere else.
I’m going to do a penetrating concrete sealer to help with dusting and moisture and I’m done..

The idiot who owned my house before me painted the garage floor (to make it look nicer for selling). Of course, 2 years later the paint is coming off in all the areas where shoes or tires consitently touch it.

Obviously this would need removed first before any coating, anyone have an idea how much this adds to the cost (% wise) or even if coating companies will do this paint removal work?

Most professional floor companies will grind down the floor anyway so a layer of paint isn’t a big deal. Then they’ll seal any cracks before putting down any new coating.

Would LIKE to be able to possibly park another car under it once my daughter starts driving...but not sure my ceiling height will allow for that. Any thoughts or ideas for me?
Suggestion to consider a 4 post with air/hydraulic rolling jacks. You can use it as a 4 post storage lift, but also get the wheels off of the rails and change tires/brakes/suspension parts/etc. Mine is a Bendpak HD9XW lift with (2) RJ45W jacks.

At 10'-6", you should be able to get another short car underneath with the Camaro above.

Thank you! . That's what I'm trying to go for, I just wasn't sure if 10' 6" was too short to get another car underneath the Camaro. It's not a deal breaker if I can't, it would just be very helpful. The MAIN purpose is to "service" the Camaro anyways.

Definitely not getting a truck under there! I stacked my 6th gen over a 2nd gen with no issues.

No, definitely not...was HOPING a smaller-ish SUV(think Equinox or some type of 4 door sedan)...but again, not 100% necessary to get another car under there....that would be more for convenience than a necessity for me. I mainly just want to be able to change oil, pull tires off, etc to the ZL1 rather than going to the dealership.
