Stock manifolds on these cars are pretty restrictive, although there was a guy here making around 900whp through the stock manifolds on his CTS-V.

Well here ya go... my exhaust is DONE!! Bought this system from a seller here on Camaro6 and it has only taken me six months to get around to installing it!!

Making it #NotSoLoud cause I'm OldSchool!

Source of data? Which mufflers were tested? Flowmaster does make some straight through race mufflers, but its never been a question that their chambered mufflers are more restrictive.

Yeah they are worth 20-25whp, but it's the cat pipes that are the biggest restriction. Either way the bone stock exhaust has supported going 9's @ 140 mph in the 1/4 on these cars. Road course seems to kill the factory cats faster than 1/4mi.

Yea, the manifold collector is pretty darn small too. I think its 2 1/2" if I recall. Its wild because I've seen Hellcat's making over 1000whp on stock manifolds, they just aren't nearly as restrictive.

Fair enough. Much better than I would have expected for a chambered muffler. Down on power some but not really noticeable compared to the others unless you're on a dyno.

I've always been under the same impression you were until I saw this dyno test. At over 1,000 hp, you wouldn't even be able to tell on a timeslip with how close the numbers are.
