I actually have 3 of the tires Dan mentioned right now. Nitto555RII for daily. M/T ET Street SS in a 26” and when it’s time to get serious on the street for cash days, I run the Hoosier DBR 28x10.5x17.
On the street, from a dig, the Hoosier is the best by far…but it is a slick. The M/T was 2nd best. Nittos are 3rd. This was my experience. Your results may differ. All that being said. If I were to get a dedicated track tire, it’d be the M/T ET Street R in a radial cuz it’s a DOT approved tire.

Trans was tuned with the last tune. Car makes a shade over 700 to the tire. Will the 17’s fit over the stock brakes?
Maybe I’m just not staying in the burnout long enough. Probably thinking about $30-$50 going up in smoke each time |

17’s will fit over the rear brakes. Difference rear brakes are required to run 15’s though.
