I'm about to pull the trigger on a very mild 8% lower pulley because I don't have access to ethanol and because I have an upgraded C&R Racing Intercooler that I thought might make it ok to spin the stock super charger a little faster even though I track the car about 8 times a summer in the North West where it's about 80 degrees in the summer.

I also have 2" LT Headers and CAI on the way as well.

Does anyone think I'm playing with fire and will get heat soak while on the track with this set up?

I have noticed no speed differences on the straight stretch of my local track whether 2 minutes or 20 minutes into a track session so far. That's with 40 minute gaps between sessions.

Thoughts?

Interesting, Dyno Steve said he hasn't seen the 30hp gains claimed for porting the stock SC

Too many variables to guess why that was the case for Dyno Steve. Lots of people have verified 30-50hp gains on the stock ported blower combined with a 103mm TB, also depends on other mods.

Yeah but you’d think he’d see a lot of this so I wouldn’t think it would be hard for him to isolate that variables let alone know the truth of it.

Yea, I don't want to speculate anything without really knowing all the facts about his testing.

I know most people think shorties are a waste of money but would there be any benefit to them over stock manifolds with a conservative pulley upgrade?

I'd say its possible but does anyone even make shortie headers for these cars?

Our stock manifolds are essentially shorties and they are quite efficient.

ATI 918856 balancer
ATI 916227 or Lingenfelter L220170709 9.17 or 15% overdrive
GATES Greenback k080845HD
LS1 ATI 951499 damper bolt
NGK 6510 1 step cooler plugs

summit or jegs has some coupon codes all can be found there or DSX may have lower prices he also has his own blower rings

* Do not buy a LT crank bolt you use a LS bolt with the ATI balancer*
This is exactly what I was looking for!! Thank you!!

I saw some. I forgot where, but I did while looking for some parts. They were nice actually. and because my car is RHD, I was considering them. Maybe I saw them in an Aussie website. I think Summit has it too if I remember correctly.
