exactly...cut is necessary if you want to use the stock muffler with the Borla mid pipe.

Is this worth an HP gain? Or just for sound and looks? Found it on sale today for $521 shipped. Thinking about getting it.

For what it's worth, it picks up power on the Z06...So I'd assume it would on the ZL1 as well.

on the C7 ZR1 it was worth almost 20 rwhp. I would guess it is worth 10-12rwhp but I have no dyno evidence to back it up. Everything depends upon how restrictive the secondary cats are.

Sorry to bump a somewhat older thread.... But has anyone ever decided to ditch the leaking clamps and just have the damn connection points all welded?

Have run them without issue on mine for almost a year now. I would not consider welding, too permanent for me. I appreciate having options.

weld not necessary with the band clamps I've listed. Great mod with no tune and easily reversible.

I just got a Borla 60606 in the mail today and plan on installing it this weekend. I'm still not clear on where to make the cut at the mufflers. What's the measurement from the muffler to the cut in the pipe? How much pipe overlaps where you join the two pipes?
