So let me further complicate this answer. Yeah, you can run 3mm + additional. There is room under most scenarios, just not much. But even the tire brand will make or break that. Michelins, for example have a more tapered tire with the tread patch being more narrow than the sidewall. I would not push the positive offset much on the front. There seems to be much more room on the negative side (or less +) of the mounting surface. The back is the exact opposite. You cannot go too much wider on stock offset nor can you build in negative offset unless you plan to reduce the diameter. Wish this could be simpler. GM built a very tight fit to get those wider tires for us. I'd love to run 305's squared...if they had the right rubber selection for me. Since they do not, the next best squared setup I can do is 285/35R19's. Still not bad.

Can we see some pics of you ride with all the mods you have done so far?

Verified that the rear wheels will not work on the front today. Too much positive offset on the rear wheels. Wish I'd had a 23mm or so wheel spacer to see how things look. As far as width goes, a 305 tire might fit on the front with the right offset wheel, but I'm not sure if it would work without reducing the diameter of the tire. The stock tire fits pretty tight under the spring seat on the strut, so of course it would be even tighter with the 305/30.

The rear has more room to go wider, but there is one spot on the inner front wheel well that sticks out a little. Someone posted something about a wiring harness or something on the rear of the SS that was a clearance issue. Looks like it's the same on the ZL1. If the width is all that's increased, there is some room, but there's nearly zero room to increase the diameter of the tire in that one spot. I didn't remove the fender well to see what was under it there, but it feels like there's something mounted solid.

I tried circling the bulge in the rear fender well, but my phone changed the file extension so the picture wouldn't load. Maybe I can try to edit it on a computer tomorrow.

If we could fit a 12" x 19" wheel then I'd run a 345 NT05R like the Vette guys. Those things are bad ass.

That wheel will fit easy. If you go with a slightly smaller diameter tire, it may fit too.

No mods at all. Just a set of track wheels and window tint

I have MRR017's with stock wheel & tire sizes that are pictured somewhere. Since my steering issue happened with OEM wheels & tires, I have left those on the car until we get it straightened out. My sig has the Forgelines pictured for track days.

Widest tire on stock offset

I am sure this has been asked but I have got lost in all the searches

I have some old Hoosier track tires for 19 inch rims. 295s, 305s, 315s, and 325s.

If I run stock offset, what is the widest tire a can run up front and in the rear?

with the 19 inch rims, am I able to run anything other than stock offset and not have to make major mods?

What are some good value 19 inch rims that run stock offset?
