Can't a good stereo shop build this for you with probably better material and quality for the same price or less INCLUDING an amplifier?

I wouldn't go this far, but it all depends on what you are looking to spend on each component. Like I said earlier, you can get a shop to custom fabricate you a box that will take up little enough space in your trunk that it you can still get to spare tire & battery with box in, that has custom vinyl or other fabric on the outside for $400-450. I'm not going to say its better quality than the stealthbox I'm not sure but it will definitely be great quality.

As far as subs and an amp that is all up to you. If you wanted to go with the subs from the stealthbox then you are looking at somewhere between $300-350 for the 12TW6 and $500-650 for the 12w6v3. The amp just depends on how much you want to spend you can spend $150-200 on an amp that can power 1 or even 2 of either of those speakers or you can spend $500-1000 on an amp for the same purpose.

The important takeaway here is essentially JL audio is charging about the same as what it would cost to fabricate a box, but I doubt that you could get a custom fiberglass box fabricated that fits in the side of your trunk the same way the stealthbox does for cheaper than that.

So if going in the side of your trunk like that with a single 12" really appeals to you, (although you can fit 2 10s or 2 12s up against the back of the rear seat and still have all the functionality of your trunk and lose minimal space) then the stealthbox is an option that you can be confident will sound great.

Looks awesome! I'm curious how many inches it encroaches into the trunk as compared to the trunk liner. Definitely not willing to pay $800 for it though, but then again what mod for the 6th gen isn't like double the price of what you'd think it should cost...

Yeah, I get it, but also... what part of driving the 6th gen is not like driving a double the price car?

I love my Camaro, it is the first one, I canīt stop improving it, each dime I spend, makes the car 2 dimes better!

Haha, that's another way to look at it I guess. Our cars handle/perform as well as some cars that are double the price so we paid much less for the car.

So it's like we just are paying "full price" for mods. I like to complain about how expensive mods are for our car but I end up still paying the price anyways because it makes me happy, I just can't get as many mods as I like, or I just have to space them out more haha.
