This a penny pinching move from GM? This would literally cure ALL "blind spot" arguments anyone has about the Camaro IMO
If it's like the 2015 CRV it's a joke and not a safety feature. Yes, the right side camera shows up on the display after putting your turn signal on but that is about it. No flashing lights and the angle of view does not catch everything. Additionally, why is it only on the right side? Honda's typically are much further behind in technology than other manufacturers. I have owned many over the years as my wife works at Honda. While they are great cars, they often lack in technology.

Exactly!!! I've had them set this way since 2010 on my Gen 5. I don't even pay attention to the blind spot indicators.

I think Honda is the only manufacturer offering this feature at the moment. I use it when I drive my girlfriend's HR-V. It's nice to have one more "set of eyes" but I don't rely on it, and it's not something that would be a deal breaker for a car I really wanted otherwise (like the Camaro.) When test driving the Camaro, with properly adjusted mirrors and the blind spot monitors I didn't have any problems with changing lanes.

Many different cars and manufacturers utilize different features to attract buyers.
I don't think even Cadillac's use a side-view camera, yet. Though some are starting to come with rear-view cameras...

I noticed this on a friend's Accord. I honestly don't even care. The blind spot notification on the side mirrors works and is fine with me. My only real technology complaint on the Camaro is sensors on the back but not the front?? Either way I wouldn't change this car for anything. If little details like this really bother you then maybe this is not the car for you.

Exactly, plus I use those small round mirrors too. My car is one of the worse cars for blindspots. But I can see everything easily set up this way. Even my rear tires when backing up so not to hit a curb. Just have to move your head a bit.

Another thought. Maybe GM wants us to look at the road ahead when we drive and not the consule.

Why doesn't my Camaro have a tiny 4 cylinder engine. The civic does and it gets better gas mileage!!
