Just to make sure I understand what to tell them on Monday: Disconnecting the mic in each door will keep the turn signal audible click and the rear cross traffic alert vs. cutting the wire at the amp which will disable the two aforementioned features, right?

Not exactly, the other systems keep working either way, but not cutting is less intrusive and someday you can return the audio system to stock.

Curious. What's the recommendation to keep the stock ANC and mic and keep it all working. Is it a tuning/DSP/signal issue?

I need to make some recommendations to my system installer on Monday morning and anything is appreciated.

If you disconnect the mics, the ANC does not work anymore. I only mean that when/if you uninstall the new high end audio system, you can return it all back to stock.

Finished install pics. The footwell enclosure was carpet matched as close as possible and the Fifty lights up in RED at night. It doesn't take up too much room at all really. Second is everything in the trunk, next to the stock amp and electronics which were kept. The Mosconi DSP (small silver box, lower right) takes everything from the Bose system after the factory amp, cleans it all up nicely, and outputs clean signals to the JL HD 900/5 amp.

Congratulations, very nicely done!

I suppose the sub is firing up towards the dashboard, correct?

I have an idea to retain the ANC by reducing the gain on the cabin mics. Unfortunately that's not as straightforward as i might have hoped. It requires some impedance matching, and some knowledge about the existing circuit would be very helpful in that regard. That kind of knowledge we don't have.
I plan to take some SPL measurements of cabin noise with and without ANC. From what I can see, the simplest way to disable ANC (for measuring purposes) is to pull fuse 45 in the rear panel which will disable the Bose amp. Right now temps are in the teens in NJ and i have the stock summer tires. Not driving the car right now!

MP, did you have to get a DRC for your DSP? With my Bit ONE I didn't have choice- or at least that's how it was presented to me. I have a similar set up, except I went with Hertz Mille reference, Hertz HDP5, Bit ONE, 2 x 8" AudioMobile subs in custom box, and BT for digital optical output. The system requires the use of the DRC though, so I had it mounted on under the start switch by the right knee. In doing so I inadvertently managed to make a great knee dinger.

No. I have a sub knob installed in the left side of the steering column. The DSP/system was setup and tuned on a laptop PC and there is a USB cord in my trunk to hook it back up to that in the future, but there is no actual remote control for the DSP.

BTW - If you guys want to see video, the shop who did all the work put video of the install on their Instagram. It includes close-ups of each piece of it. You can view it here:
