We'll see if I get a chance to use it again this weekend when I go back for some testing.

Btw, if you use the NHRA correction factors for DA, this little stock car is actually running 11.5x
they were breaking with launch control last gen also.

Thankfully, I don't need to worry about them now. Once I go D1SC, that might change, but I doubt it'll be the axles that give up.

Well, today we dropped off the car at a shop that will be disclosed at a later date. It looks like my old 12.38 will be the fastest stock time I lay down.

See you guys next year in the power adder list. We'll see how well my launch control trick works with quite a bit more power.

Not saying its not an issue, just don't 100% believe this guy busted his with Michelin Pilots. His 60ft matches CDflyer on a full slick.

Pilot cup 2! 315/35/20 rear and Pilot 285/35/20 front. maybe take a look at the tire and yes it broke!!! As other poster said might have been pooched from running DR's in past??? As far as 60ft I wasnt ever able to break 1.9 60 with DR's in 2500 DA.

In 2500 DA, even with slicks, it's hard for me to get out of the 1.9 60' as well. It might be more seat time then anything, but this summer has driven me nuts. There's still a bunch left in it.

Hey Cdflyer ya I made a ton of passes on the DR's and could never break that 1.9 even with some real nice passes and consistent runs. With The DA being what it is up here now now is the time to go fast, would have loved to get out one more time with DR's but with a broken car for a week and the track closing anytime soon for the winter I'm done till next year now

Well either way, Cup 2 tires are a different compound than the Goodyears and are considered racing tires by all means, and should not be considered a stock pass IMO.

Cup 2's are not "racing" tires by any stretch of the imagination....they are street tires, good ones yes, but street tires is what they are classified as. They come OEM on a multitude of cars too.

Yeah LOL they come oem on some cars....like the Ferrari 458 Speciale, Mercedes SLS AMG Coupe Black Series, Corvette z06 with z07 pkg, Porsche 918 Spyder, and the BMW M4 GTS.

My Mickey Thompson drag radials are also street legal radials. "street tires" is a very broad and ambiguous term.

Apples and oranges...and incorrect. Just look at what the SCCA and NHRA consider a race tire and a street tire.

A street tire needs to work in the dry and wet, and have a somewhat decent trend wear rating and a certain percentage of tread pattern. M/T drag radials in the rain, nope...M/T drag radials with a decent tread wear rating, nope....M/T drag radials with good tread coverage, nope...

A Sport Cup 2 has a 180-200 tread wear depending on size. The M/T drag radials last I looked aren't wear certified, meaning 0. Even the more durable Nitto drag radials are only rated at 100. A Sport Cup 2 can be driven in the rain, and has a larger tread surface area as well...it's 100% a street tire.

Glad that you mentioned SCCA. His tire size is a 180 treadwear tire. These tires would disqualify him from any street class.

By the way, tire rack doesn't have a Sport Cup 2 in a 315 size???

We are discussing whether or not someone running racing tires qualifies for the "stock" list. Your thoughts?
