I guess Dodge gave up on black listing dealers who added ADM to the Hellcat? Too bad that really can't be put into law.

This car is going to be great but Ford really going to make certain options a rarity. There's no way I'd pay $10k for racing stripes or $18k for the track package. That package should be broken down into 2 maybe 3 other packages.

Yes, I am very adamant on having people understand that posting ADM on a car is stupid. But if you really really want to have the very first of its kind when 6 months down the road it'll be sold at MSRP or could turn out to be a turd then go right ahead and spend the money that you feel is burning a hole in your pocket.

This day and age you can search the internet and find a great deal but that's too much work for most people.

I don't know?? Something really stinks on the whole $10k racing stripes...personally I do not care for them & prefer the solid color. Looking back on the whole 350R attempted purchase & while the ADM was the immediate killer, there wasn't one on a showroom sans stripe no that I recall.

Let's just say for grins you were going to order one...how in the hell could you click on a $10k option for just eye candy?? That's more than half way there for the racing package?? $1k I can see but how can Ford honestly justify the cost & what am I missing??

James Martin put it right. They cannot ignore their die hard customers who want painted stripes (which are a major PITA for the factory) but they can price them so it's worth their while.

For me it's painted Wimbledon White on Race red. On the 500 vinyl is a copout.

Wow 10k for stripes? Yea that money would be going more towards future upgrades and go fast goodies.

Or did they just quote Manufacturer claims. Typically the 662 hp gt500 did not 0-60 very good in the real world on factory rubber and even a decently prepped surface. There short times at the 1/4 mile track on factory tires and set up were not impressive. The only reason 0-60 was decent because you could do it with out shifting to 2nd gear.

Truth. I hated the 3:31 gearing in my 14 GT500. The rear stock suspension was shit too. It was a beast on roll race. But the rear suspension was such crap that the motor completely overpowered the the solid axel and stamped v6 LCAs. The rear shimmied and wiggled back on forth on hard excelleration.

GT500 is a PIG

Ford released the weight of the GT500 and it was the same Leaked weight of 4225 awhile back.

That is crazy.. I just don't understand how its almost 600 pounds heavier than a GT350R.. the blower doesn't weigh that much

4200+ for the GT 500

the ZL1 1LE might still beat that thing on a road course.

Will be interesting to see for sure. I can only imagine the pain those die hard Ford fans are going to feel if the ZLE is faster than that thing for 5K less and with 100 less horses.

Where did you get the 4200lbs from?

That sounds about right from rumors, but has it been confirmed?

If this number is true, thats a 400lb disadvantage for the GT500 (when comparing same number of gallons in the gas tank -- Camaro has 3 gallons larger tank).

I'm betting that the GT500 will beat the ZLE on tracks with long straights and those wins will echo across the Mustang community. However I think the ZLE will definitely be the better handling car.

Sounds like real #s are not released yet.

If I were a car manufacturer, I'd deliberately start rumors that the car was heavier than it actually is... who knows.
