CARB sent back more BS for them to answer, and wait - again...
Aren't we expecting an update from Josh soon? Was it this week, or next week, his hotrod was going in for tuning?

It took a few tries to get everything ironed out. The oil pressure "gauge" not reading was due to a wiring mishap back at the LT4 TMAP...completely unrelated (or so I thought lol). But both of those items are fixed. The cam position sensor had taken some damage after the belt break last fall so that got changed out. Then the new intercooler pump wiring was not right and kept cutting out, so that is now fixed. Then the alignment was way off after I tinkered with the BMR toe rods doing the 15" rear brake conversion...so I was dumping about $50 worth of rubber dust from my R888R's onto the rear bumper every time I drove it... So, all that is fixed, alignment is done, and heck I even got a state inspection sticker! ![]() Dyno day is tomorrow (5/16)! I'm a little nervous...with the Smoothboost control set on 50% boost, I'm still getting 14+ pounds... full kill will be a bit silly I think and I doubt I have the high side fueling to pull that off. So we'll inch it up and watch the data logs. I'm nervous, but excited. Wish me luck! I'll report back in the evening...good or bad lol...

So we’re all done…1059 WHP STD (1011 SAE) at 18 psi! Blower is at 19,000 RPM and I definitely think it’s got more in it but my high side fuel is tapped out. But for DI only I think that’s pretty darn good.

Looks good Josh!!! What pulley combination did you make that on? I'm starting out with a 8.855 Lower and a 3.5 upper and go from there.

CONGRATS!!!
It looks like the pulley info's on the bottom of the dyno graph.

Congrats. Did you check the logs for any indication of belt slip? 3.25" upper is probably considered too small in Whipple world and causes belt slip at this supercharger rpm

Thanks! No evidence of belt slip at all and I didn’t have a problem with that pulley combo on my old 2.9 either. I do run the TooHighPSI LT5 tensioner setup and run the belt on the tight side too. Edit: also, I always run Griptec uppers too

The blower seems capable of more…I just need more fuel! @Nmolina: I think an 8.855/3.5 combo will be fine to get things worked out. Once you’ve got it all dialed in you can drop down to the 3.25 upper down the road if you need more.
