Mine's listed too.

Wish the recall would explain what for, but my guess would be another abs programming mod to avoid ICE mode. That said, mine (post 2018 Camaros) already has a modified version (vs 2016-18) that works well at the track to avoid the issue. And I'm happy with the handling and rear diff function on track so see no need to modify the software.

Hopefully the first owner who is at the dealer next can ask them for more details and relay back to the rest of us.

The same goes for my 2022. It's actually at the dealership now, so I will give them a call in the morning to see if they'll do the BCM update. The only thing I have added is a Cold Air Inductions CAI, so I don't mind too much.

I'd be interested to see what they say. The recall says that the "remedy" is not available yet.

You did see this, right?

Description

General Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety may exist in certain: 2019 – 2020 model year Cadillac CT6, 2020 – 2021 model year Cadillac CT4 and CT5, and 2020 – 2022 model year Chevrolet Camaro vehicles equipped with a 10-speed transmission. A transmission control valve in some of these vehicles may be susceptible to excess wear over time, resulting in a gradual loss of pressure within the valve that can cause harsh shifting. In rare cases, the wheels may experience a momentary lock up.

Safety Risk Description

If the wheels lock-up momentarily while driving, there is increased risk of a crash.

Repair Description

Dealers will install new transmission control module software that will monitor valve performance and detect excess wear approximately 10,000 miles before a wheel lock up condition could occur. Once detected, the transmission will be limited to fifth gear, preventing the possibility of a wheel lock up condition, which occurs in a downshift from eighth gear. A service engine light and reduced propulsion message will also display in the instrument panel.

The description above is not for the body control module update. This is the other new recall. The BCM recall is very vague.

Ah, I got it now. I thought they were related, but I see it's not.

Could this finally be a software fix so they can't make keyfobs using the OBD-II port???

Its already been confirmed by dealer techs that this recall will affect TCM modules as well.

This has me greatly concerned.

My TCM is pretty customized, and I am not sure I can restore the stock tune file for this. I think I have the stock tune file but not sure if it is in fact the stock tune file. And no I don't trust Chevy dealers either, much less the one by me whom is the largest in the state, can't even do a basic brake job without breaking something on my car.

Will I be able to just reflash my ECM/TCM after the recall to restore my TCM settings? And if I do, will the recall settings break something with my TCM tune such that my transmission can completely fail, and if so who's responsible for it? Me or Chevy?

At this point I am not confident I should do the recall. But, it is a safety issue. And Yes, my car is on both recalls as well.

This is above and beyond the BCM recall

Product Safety Recall

Momentary Wheel Lock-Up

Released: 2025-03-06

So they are NOT in fact fixing anything. Just waiting for the issue to occur. Who is liable for this, me or GM? The issue was a preexisting condition prior to the modification of my vehicle which means the repair work should be covered by GM regardless of the fact my car is modified. Assuming I don't die first. And if they cannot fix the issue then under the lemon law they owe me a new car.

I smell a class action law suit.

I really think I need to call an attorney at this point.
I can settle for a M6 swap and a car wash

I just researched a little bit and saw it's for trucks so far. It probably happens at higher mileage.
