Good info; I will call them again tomorrow and ask. If I have to eat $160 on pushrods, I’d rather do that than have the wrong length in there!

I feel like you can't go wrong with anything from BTR though to be honest.

if you want my thoughts:

Katech oil pump: Do it. I know they technically "fixed" the later revision pumps (2019+), but it would be a shame to go through all of that work to cam the car and see a pump failure when you're right there already.

C5-R chain: I was told this just stands up to sustained high RPM use better than the stock chain. Not a super necessary upgrade, but it's cheap enough insurance.

LME billet cover: If you were already planning on using the phaser lockout (which you would need on a PD3 cam), the front cover is essentially an aesthetics piece with the LME timing chain guide built in. I'm opting to cheap out and use the phaser lockout with the separate timing chain guide from LME (it's around $250), which leaves me with functionally the same situation as the billet front cover for a lot cheaper, just loses some sex appeal. Doesn't bother me since I will never see it and I'm a broke college student!
Right on. Makes sense with the pump & its just a well built part. Yes we are doing phaser lockout kit for the cam.

Also will be ordering the DMS front heat exchanger & have the holley short throw shifter just debating if i wanna do it, mays well. my tuner is telling my to do the monster clutch while we have it open but **** its another 3K+ and truthfully I've heard mixed reviews

I had a Monster triple-disk organic in my 5th gen, and it was awesome. BUT, I've heard that our stock clutch can handle 900+, so I'm not going to replace mine until it fails.

I'm one of the guys that leans the other way on the cam size. I'm between the BTR 2 and 3, and I'm going to go with the 3. Last time I did this, I went with the smaller cam and wished I would have gone bigger. I really want the car to pull like mad from 4k up to 7k.

Anyone have real-world experience with the BTR 3? I'm pretty tolerant with racecar stuff on the street. It looks like it might have maybe 13-15 degrees of overlap in the 3.

Glad to hear that, I just trust my tuner/shop and hes said he ordered the stage 3 and i said okay! Also yes I heard the same about our clutch. I guess it just is a lot more labor if you wanted to do it in the future but I don't really plan on going HP crazy, the cars ****ing fast

real world experience, if you're on IG, darkmarro_zl1 has the BTR stage 3 pd cam and some good supporting mods (jokerz port as well). his car drives and sounds great

Well I talked to my builder/tuner about the pushrod concern; he said the length in the kit should be specced correctly, but he was going to measure regardless for peace of mind. Glad I've got someone I can trust helping me out! I'll update on what size pushrods this setup will take in my car.

So here's the deal:

I called BTR today and they said that there's no way to be 100% certain without measuring, so we will be doing that. HOWEVER, Matt said that the 2110R lifters (which I'm going with) are meant to be a direct drop-in replacement for the LS7 lifter, meaning they should require the same pushrod length, which is 7.850" in this case.

Regardless, I will update if this ends up being incorrect when I tear the car apart!

i had 2110R lifters on my list, tuner ordered the LS7 with the chromoly 3/8 rods and will do the fitment as needed during install
