Good info; I will call them again tomorrow and ask. If I have to eat $160 on pushrods, I’d rather do that than have the wrong length in there!

I had a Monster triple-disk organic in my 5th gen, and it was awesome. BUT, I've heard that our stock clutch can handle 900+, so I'm not going to replace mine until it fails.
I'm one of the guys that leans the other way on the cam size. I'm between the BTR 2 and 3, and I'm going to go with the 3. Last time I did this, I went with the smaller cam and wished I would have gone bigger. I really want the car to pull like mad from 4k up to 7k. Anyone have real-world experience with the BTR 3? I'm pretty tolerant with racecar stuff on the street. It looks like it might have maybe 13-15 degrees of overlap in the 3.

Well I talked to my builder/tuner about the pushrod concern; he said the length in the kit should be specced correctly, but he was going to measure regardless for peace of mind. Glad I've got someone I can trust helping me out! I'll update on what size pushrods this setup will take in my car.

I called BTR today and they said that there's no way to be 100% certain without measuring, so we will be doing that. HOWEVER, Matt said that the 2110R lifters (which I'm going with) are meant to be a direct drop-in replacement for the LS7 lifter, meaning they should require the same pushrod length, which is 7.850" in this case. Regardless, I will update if this ends up being incorrect when I tear the car apart! |
