Can you report back how much E your able to run once you get your tune done? Do you use HPTuners and will do your own data logging? If so, it will show the amount alcohol your reading. I'm only curious because I'm getting ready to add my DSX Flex Fuel kit and a JMS FuelMAX Pump Booster to my ZL1. Thanks

The ultimate Italian tuneup, ha
Well, they all use the E92 so I'm sure the retrofit wouldn't be a problem. The GMLAN connection would probably just need a change in network communication via HPTuners or something stupid easy. Similar to how the flex fuel sensor is enabled on a car that didn't previously have it. Considering I have access to a ZR1 tune file, I do see where the network communications have been changed and I do see where fueling is modified compared to our own. It may be easier than you and I are thinking.

You'll be able to run about E60-E70 if you are all stock on pulley setups. I would run no higher than the 60's that way you never have to worry about the e content overtaxing the fuel system.

You peaked my interest so I started doing some digging in the catalog. The FPCM is the exact same. The cylinder heads between the LT4 and LT5 are the same as well. The only thing that I see that is LT5 specific so far are the MPI injectors and the fuel rails.i don't see where those MPI rails would mount up though because you would assume it would be on the cylinder heads for obvious reasons. That doesn't appear to be the case though in OE configuration.

On the blower. Here's a good pic:

Okay, so apparently the LT4 and 5 share the same cylinder heads, no questions there. Where they differ, however, is that TVS2650 blower. Within the blower, there is machining within the ports to be able to accept MPI injectors and there are provisions built into the blower itself so it can accept a pair of fuel rails and their respective ports for the injectors.

I suppose this is where those aftermarket "spacers" that are built for ours come into play. There may be extra wiring integrated into the factory wiring harness as well to be able to run the Bosch MPI injectors that come factory on the LT5's as well, but from the looks of it, we (LT4 cars) already have native software and hardware built into our FPCM's to be able to run multi port injection ON TOP OF DI from the getgo.

I believe Steck is working on a neat solution that uses the factory ECM to control port injection.
