Hi, @owl3 I see you have a 17 ZL1, would you consider trading it for a 24 ZL1 because of the oil pump? That’s something that seems to be an issue. How is your oil pump holding up? Is it original or did you change it? Did you have any issues?

It has ~25K on the clock, with the original oil pump and no issues. That said, it's been up on jack stands since May of 2020, when I was assigned to mostly out-of-town (and country) work. And even when I was at home for a year I was still working 7-12's for the most part. I have many, many parts accumulated to turn it into a reasonably serious quarter-miler with a Katech oil pump among them. The plan is to completely tear down the engine and blueprint it, and install the Katech pump so that I never worry about a failure. If I was using the car on weekends and nice days I wouldn't even be concerned. I'm an old drag racer (mid 6's and 200+ mph in a dragster), and have been getting the bug for a number of years to return to it. In my mind I don't want to go through the same hassles of keeping up with a 6-second vehicle, so I'm looking to be that old guy that drives to the dragstrip, swaps out tires, and surprises everyone there with super-comp and super-gas times from a street car.
