It’s gonna take more than 2 laps this weekend. Took about 10 minutes of track time to warm up this past weekend at 80 and overcast.

I ran pirelli take offs in cold weather ~ 50 degrees. They are pretty bad for a couple of laps and it takes about 5 laps to get good heat into them, but they never quite get to operating temperature I don't think. The fronts never felt like they had great grip in them, they always felt a little bad. I don't have much experience with slicks though so that's just my anecdotal story. Even with what I felt like was suboptimal "grip" they were still about 2 seconds faster than the SC3's.

Yeah I'm not expecting to have slick magic. Just hoping it's usable

My Pirelli take offs were pretty great in our 38 degree weather over the weekend at Road America. Took some time to get them "warm" - they never got hot but still performed great.

Saw you there! Loved your 371 number. Great touch. I was running in group 3.
I agree, my tires performed excellent after they "warmed" up. I think the freshly paved surface was a tremendous help with grip. By Sunday, I was on 3 day old take offs with no noticeable difference in traction (could also be because I'm not running the car super hard). On Monday when we ran the bend, I had no traction on the old surface.

Bummer it was so cold, prevented a lot of guys from wandering and meeting new people (me included). Here is my fastest lap from the weekend:

Great lap! I started my PDR finish line from the pits, which apparently was too far to create the GPS map, so I don't have any official times. 2:37 was my fastest unofficial time with a stop watch. Can't wait to go back, it was my first time at RA.
