I’m guessing it’s probably a 10 mm bolt which you could get anywhere or take the broken piece to the dealership along with the photo from this thread so they can get an idea where it came from
Thank you will do the only problem is that it's recessed so beneathe the brace and the mating surface.

Question

I drilled through it but it's a no go...... I'm contemplating whether to just get a new strut brace thingy, the only thing is as per the first illustration, the NUT labelled number 1.......... if i loosened that, the stud that number 1 nut gets attached to, Is that a fixed stud, or is there a bolt behind it? Because something has to counter torque it right?

Yes, that is just a fixed stud and the nut will screw off the stud, once you get the brace out you should be able to get that broken piece out

I ordered a new strut tower brace piece, and new screws, they should be here within a week or so (dealer said it's due to the backlog with the strike) which is fine.

I tried removing the old strut tower brace but it's a no go. I looked in the forums and i found this https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=518144 ....and this https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=600290...

both by smokin 19 is kind of helpful. They say to remove the bolts, and it should be enough to remove the strut tower brace.

But which bolts, and how to remove the cowl and plenum?

Is there a step by step on how to remove the cowl plenum in the first place? The black and white illustration illustration isn't as clear for me like what parts to remove first to get to the cowl.

I dont mind working on the car, I just dont want to break anymore parts!

This may be what you need. I only have service information for the 2018, but the cowl hasn't changed much, if any, since then.

Appreciate it guys , always happy to help, and I make up for my lack of experience with my service manual, heh

BTW here is the next page with the wiper arm removal that I didn't attach, I see it referenced as a preliminary.
