They are FERODO and it’s stamped onto every OEM pad.

Rotors are not Brembo. GM/AC Delco.

Aha, you are correct. I never paid attention to that stamping and I'm on my fifth or sixth set of OEM pads.

I am not going to track it
Changed out my OEM pads at 1100miles and nearly 8000 miles and 5 years later the brakes are fine. My car is a show/weekend mistress, perfectly suited for where Z26 pads shine: on the street.

Yes you give up some initial pedal bite, and you'll want to avoid 100-to-0 and 120-to-60 hard stops and the like, but you'll never have dirty wheels again (especially if you put a good hydrophobic coating on them). So go have your break-in and post-break-in fun with your new ride, then swap out the pads once you got it out of your system

I had power stop pads on my SRT charger for 10k+ miles and the rotors were still perfect when I sold it

Z23's on my Camaro SS for about 1500 miles now, I drag the car occasionally but no road tracks (vert, no roll bar) and the Z23's have plenty of bite for me

Powerstop Z26 pads suck.
Agree here, I use Carbotech 1521, I would not install Z26's on my ZL1. They work fine for normal cars but not so good for a performance car like a ZL1.

The powerstop extremes are just okay on the street and are a hazard on the track.

I mean, the car has to be washed no matter what, don't see a reason for the fuss about wheels also getting dirty and needing a therapeutic cleaning...

(stock Ferodo pads here with "brake dust color" 1LE wheels )

This...lol all of it....It's easy as shit to just wipe off the wheels with an exterior car duster.

I'd never sacrifice any performance for something I could quickly remedy within 4 mins. Just me though.

Sorry this just had me busting up..

Same here. My car gets a bath once a week anyway and I like the extra bite the stock pads deliver. I just use one of those brushes that can get in all the spoke of the wheels.

I put the Powerstops on and they did not work out well. They deposited material on the rotors and induced a bad vibration when braking. I had the rotors slightly turned to remove the deposits and put the stock pads back on.
