Anyone have torque specs for the DSSV's? Wasn't sure if they were the same since they are aluminum. Mainly looking for the bottom bolts. I know the uppers are 21 ft-lbs.

So can they be re-tightened or do they have to be replaced?

I’ve been wondering how long these last in general. I was hoping they’d last significantly longer than 50K miles. Are there people out there with high mile cars still running the original dampers?

i had a ZR2. hundreds of DVVS failures on those. i think 9/10 all on the drivers rear. sure its an off road truck but many failed on the street. its a cool company but they dont bring their A game to a mass produced car. Hell chevy sells an aftermarket DVVS shock for the ZR2 for like $2000 each.

Not sure what qualifies as "high" mileage, but I'm at 38,000 miles on my originals. No DSSV issues so far.

That’s a good datapoint, but shocks normally start to go bad around 50K, so I was curious if anyone had gone well past that point yet. I know most ZLEs are most key low mile cars, so I figured it was a long shot,
