Yeah I guess I'm not familiar with build quality for different brands. This is my 2nd new car, so I just figured a new car would be nearly "perfect". Doesn't kill me inside, but if it is fixable I was going to take the shot.

No the panel is within specs. Both my 6 gens that I owned or own now are that way! It looks bad but just live with it is my attitude especially with my ZL1.

Yep, I would call that a large gap. Yep, that is apparently acceptable for most Camaros. I, as well as many others on here, have that issue to some degree. Welcome to the quality of GM. Some areas of these cars, I swear the guy who built it had his eyes closed. I understand that every vehicle has its imperfections but c’mon.

It can be justified by so-called design or explained with the variance of temperatures, but I’m still not buying it. This issue is not evident on MANY other cars, and it is unacceptable.

Well, "should have" and "was" are sometimes worlds apart, I'm almost certain the new 19+ bumpers have the same attachment method, because the issue looks exactly the same. Also, letting the dealership remove and reattach bumpers comes with its own risks.
OP will decide what's the best course of action to them, I just wanted to provide information to help in that

I agree with this 100%, unless it REALLY, REALLY bothers you, leave it, dealers have a way of screwing up even the simplest things and makes things worse... I didn't even use my "free" oil change, no thanks, I'll do it myself!

Well at least now I know it's just a thing that happens and not some defect specifically on my car. I'll just learn to ignore it

Yeah, it definitely is not specific to your car. Its not acceptable but we have to understand a bit of tolerance. For the performance capabilities, we are really not paying much for these cars.

Noticed within days the same thing in your photos. It’s better in cold weather, and slightly more noticeable in warm weather. The good thing is, we notice this more than anyone else ever would, because it’s our car. Lol. I’ve come to be at peace with it. 😎

Its not acceptable....gaps are not for expansion and contraction. The are to be uniform and straight.

Yep, I’m with you. I’ve had tons of cars with plastic bumpers... this one, my most expensive purchase ever, happens to have the worst fit and finish.

I’ve made peace with it, sort of..
