UnknownJinX has said all that needed to be said here Mine are these ten-buck specimens: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GXL2KZT, they do adhere very well after replacing the included junk tape.

I'm running a cheaper Uniden DFR9 unit, by the way.

Only time I came close, I had the head of the police union in the passenger seat. Got tailed long enough for my plate to be run, but didn't get pulled over.

What's wrong with the ride quality? Seems fine to me.

I’m a transportation design student and it has been stressing me out a lot recently (extremely heavy workload with minimal time to take for myself). So I go out to hit some backroads to get some fresh air and just let loose to go back home with a fresh mind. I’m driving the car relatively hard and to be honest. I’m surprised I didn’t get pulled over from THAT!

Anyways, so about 30 minutes pass by and I decide to head back home. This time, I was keeping it low key and not accelerating hard whatsoever. Come to my surprise, there was a cop in the opposite lane who saw my car well before I could see him (driving on a hill). Immediately put his lights on and got me.... got me going 19 over. Thankfully he was chill and only got me for 5 over and no points! This was my very first time being pulled over and my first ticket!

Btw this just happened this past Sunday LOL
That's too funny that that's when you get caught lol... better than when you were really giving it the beans! I see you're also from Michigan, what are some of your favorite backroads to drive on? Always looking for new roads to drive.

I asked him, "What are you doing, what's wrong?"
Cop, "I pulled you over because I saw your tint."
Me, "You raced through traffic because you saw my tint?"
Cop, "Tint in this state is illegal."
Me, "No it isn't, it was installed by the manufacturer, I bought the car this way."
Cop, "Well I'll give you a warning for the tint but you have to have it removed, oh I see your inspection is due."
Me, "Its 2 days over and I'm scheduled for inspection, isn't there a 30 day grace period right now?"
Cop, "Well its due."
This ass clown comes back to me with a $155.00 ticket for my inspection being 2 days over due even when I had proof that an inspection has been scheduled!
Cop, "If you have your car inspected in 10 days and plead not guilty AND come to court, I'll drop it."

Cops are still people, and people can be assholes.

My coworkers got a good laugh taking photos of me outside of our facility.
Wow that is terrible! I definitely got the good cop and you DEFINITELY got the bad cop haha. My brother had a similar run in a handful of years ago. He is a mechanical engineer and was coming home from work in his 94 Z28 in stop-and-go traffic mind you, and he wasn't doing anything to draw attention (just driving normally yes he has an SLP Loudmouth 1 exhaust but otherwise stock and was revving or anything). So a cop on a motorcycle gets up next to him and pulls him over just strictly for window tint, nothing else (probably causing even worse traffic on I96 around Novi). Like you said, cops are human and apparently you guys got cops in terrible moods!

I never had the Camaro long enough to get in trouble but could have easy if i was caught doing some WOT burst to around 80 or more MPH in 30 and 45mph zones.

Been pulled over 3 times for doing fast burst over the years and always got away with a stern talking to. Be nice and tell the truth ruth and most times they let ya go.

"Why you should buy a radar detector with a Camaro?" would be a more fitting title than "How did your baby get you in trouble?"

Gosh, I hate tickets.

Cant fully say I dodged a bullet but it could’ve ended worse lol. I just moved to from Grand Rapids to Novi in September actually. I’m honestly looking for some nice roads (and some more Camaro’s) to drive around.

When I used to live in Grand Rapids, I used to drive around the Egypt Valley area.

Heinz park where I got the ticket really had some fun curves to toss the car around. That’s really all I got for now, hoping to find some more roads where I won’t get in trouble lol.

I was playing with another camaro while traveling down I-16. We were just taking turns doing pulls past each other, that sort of thing.

Ended up getting hit with a laser at 103mph, but luckily I had gotten on the brakes pretty hard and had just slowed down from 135. The trooper pullled out in front of us and pulled us both over. Trooper gave me a ticket of course, but I dont know how it turned out for the other guy because as the trooper handed me my documents back he said 'now I have to go deal with you buddy, I don't think he has a license'.

In my state we have a super speeder violation, that is an extra $200 on anything over 85mph on the highways, plus the cost of the speeding ticket. It's also something like 5 or 6 points on your license. So I hired one of those traffic lawyers and told them I'd pay whatever fine, but I don't want any points and they were able to get the courts to lower the ticket down to an un-reportable 84 in a 70 zone with 0 points, but the fine was $850, plus another $200 for an online defensive driving certification, and the lawyer fees were $450.
