This is something I have been looking at doing once I have some spare time!

My thoughts were weld closed several of the small perforated holes, along with cutting and blocking off the far left/right section of the muffler. Still retains NPP function albeit with increased sound hopefully.

Beware the law of unintended consequences...

+1 avoid mods to the stock suitcase.

Another +1 for the recommendation on a secondary cat delete for low-budget sound increase w/o a muffler delete.

Or drop the coin on a Borla catback or axleback.

Secondary cat delete is known to cause low end torque loss due to false knock from resonance in the pipes. If you go this route, I would recommend adding some small resonators to tame that risk in place of the cats if you choose to do it.

What is the inner exhaust tip connected to? Is it just for looks?
Edit: i think i see now. Thats is where the exhaust that comes out of the perforated pipe exits the opposite side

I want to retain the stock exhaust box but curious if any muffler shops have done any wizardry with this box.

No muffler delete as I know drone is a huge issue with muffler deletes from owners.
C6Z muffler mod was awesome

So it went from sounding like ass (headers + stock muffler) to sounding good (headers + resonators + stock muffler)?

What resonators did you use? Any pictures, more details?
