I'm assuming it's coming from the rear gear set. Whatever it is it's magnetic, hence why it sticks to the drain/fill plugs. So unless there's a material in the clutches that sticks to magnets then I'd guess it's small metal particles coming off the ring and pinion trying to wear into one another, but IDK.

yea man got mine on order as well. they also have the cheapest shipping for large items. I am buying the left side carpet molding in the trunk the part is 50 buks but everywhere wanted around 50 to 70 to ship it. this place 11$ shipping for the liner, 2 qts of diff fluid and a oil filter... outstanding

Changed mine yesterday as well at 3500 miles and it definitely looked like it needed it. More peace of mind now.

Not only is there the ring and pinion, but we also have the spider gears and the metal clutch plates that are sandwiched between the friction plates.

I changed mine today as there are 917KM or 569miles on it. I didn't put these miles on the car. So for peace of mind I changed it. The oils pretty cheap. The oil was only slightly discoloured. I'll change it again at 1500KM.
