Were you able to capture throttle position? As an instructor one of the things I've seen is drivers going at "driver full throttle" not "car full throttle". Even a slight hesitation or slight lift will have a significant impact on a forced induction car (more so in turbo, but still in super)

Everyone is making good points here... I'll try to clarify a thought that hasn't come across clearly:
The earlier you get on the gas the higher your exit speed, and the higher your terminal speed on straights. A lot of track drivers tend to overdrive the car into the corners, carrying too much speed. This forces you to scrub speed, and you end up getting on the gas much later which has been pointed out. The power of the ZL1 is actually what is letting you catch the SS and match the straightaway speed. This is going to sound strange, but slow down to go faster. Find a corner entry speed and line that allows you to get on the gas as early as possible and you'll see your lap times plummet. |
