When you order a 3rd party knob, it was ask for an adapter size. A 9/16"-18 adapter fits the SS shifter thread. When I ordered my custom Raceseng knob, I specified the adapter.

Sorry for beating this into the ground so bad, just to clarify, there is no way around just simply replacing the pistol grip with a ball. You HAVE to purchase the entire SS shifter kit as well to get the threaded shaft from it? Thank you for answering all of my questions and posting pics.

Unfortunately YES. Again I've already gave my 2 cents to them in emails and over the phone. It's silly they cant simply take that shaft piece and put it in an LT kit with the classic ball. Smh

My advice is to get the SS kit with the ball, stock and/or pistol option and pull the shaft piece from it and resell the rest as a pistol/stock option kit. Keep in mind... the shifter assembly is different between the LT and SS. The only difference is the linkage pin hole size. It's why the shifter assembly isnt a direct fit. (Hurst also lied to me about this) The top of the assembly is the same. I'll PM you some open box pics

Fairly certain barton could get the adapter done. Raceseng is also a good bet.

I looked at Barton originally, I just liked Raceseng more and it's excellent. They have adapters as well. Speeddawg is another option. I guess I could say that your only other option is to have a local custom fab a piece that slides over the Hurst shifter assembly similar to the piece that comes with the SS kit.
