I don't know of any tuner worth a damn that just turns it on. They all tune to the vehicle.

Will this allow you to run blends? Can I have some 91 AND some E85 or E40 in the tank at the same time? Or do I have to run one out before filling with the other?

Yes, the whole purpose of the flex sensor is to allow the flexibility to run any variation of fuel mix from full e85 to straight gasoline..

It really depends on modifications. The fuel lobe on the cam is worth a lot at higher power levels.

I don't see anything on their site for "low side" pump. From what Im seeing this would cost over $2 g for less than 50 HP? bout craziest thing Ive ever read.

How much power are people getting just from sensor 50/50 mix?

yea thats way out my HP to $$ ratio still, plus you gotta pay for a tune between 250-450. for a max of about 45 hp.

Why would GM have the tables in the ECU, but not activated? Seems like it could be just another selling point. (Maybe future proof?)

In reality, the Flex Fuel kit is going to give you the HP, the low side fuel system is going give you the extra fuel when you are making bigger power. So for the 300 bucks plus tune is worth it. Especially when you add force induction into the mix. Flex Fuel kit is possibly one of the best bang for buck mods out there. Especially on GM vehicles where you can switch back and forth on fuel once it's tuned.

I was always curious about this. Are there any fail safes for if the sensor stops working that you won't blow up your motor?

Ill dig deeper into it because I do plan on a pro charger and some other goodies, gonna hit up my tuner guy at RPM in NC and see what kinda deals they can get on parts for me. They are my go to shop for parts and have been for about 10 years. And they hold some pretty stout records so they are a notable performance shop.

Because the computer and operating systems are used in a variety of other vehicles with various configurations that do support flex fuel. They aren't going to reinvent the wheel just to have that feature turned on or off. It's not activated from the factory because the factory fuel system on the LT4s are not up to the task of running a full 85% ethanol fuel with any sort of headroom what so ever.

To keep dealers from blowing up our cars when they sell the bolt-on E85 kits.
