I'm wondering if the hpfp and injectors right under the SC with no insulation is chambered in a way it sounds like rattles? I'll reinstall the foam next time but I think there is something to it. I know you leave the foam with Edelbrock and part of the foam over the pump with Maggie. It seemed to fit fine with the foam with Whipple. Somebody else try this and tell me if it makes a difference.
That was an oops...lol. (big oval o-ring) Next time use some type grease to hold O-ring in place. As long as you found it and fixed it, great. How did your catch can turn out? Interesting about the noise and foam. Mine was fine with 3.50 pulley (no foam) but shaft wobbled. Sent it back, worse now.

The catch can turned out perfect. Thanks for being the lab rat and figuring out how to make it fit. The foam killed almost all the noise. If you think about it, there ia a hollow space under the supercharger with an opening just under the supercharger pulley. There is a cam driven mechanical pump and a slew of injectors making noise in that "tunnel" that is echoed around and spat out the front.

Great Nick, Your welcome, glad I could help. How about some Pics?
I see some PPL install for function only. I always do function AND appearance.
I'm gearing up to install the foam under SC. Thanks. I've heard "No Difference" to "Noise from HPFP and Injectors".

What kind of foam did you use Nick? I still need to do my can and pull the lid, very curious on how much oil has built up.

I reused the factory foam. I used the whole piece but trimmed it in places it looked like it might interfere. I removed it to find a vacuum leak but should have left it. If somebody else uses the foam and sees good results I'll reinstall it. It is only a two hour job.
