My be worth cutting opening up and seeing what is inside the original muffler. Might be able to remove some baffles and insulation and get something that sounds better and less restrictive for a lot less money just by modifying the stock muffler
I might cut mine open, but it won't be this year

I don't expect gains off of most cat-backs with this car but better sound and flow are 100% expected mishimotos leave a lot to be desired and I really do like them just this may have been a step in the wrong direction for them. As for drone axle-backs without modification of the stock midpipe shouldn't have any drone if you replace the mid-pipes they may drone not sure. As for cutouts i'm still so very torn on these I love the idea and understand the concept on what they're suppose to help with. I was looking at QTP's then took a look at the Noweeds diverter and find myself leaning closer to noweeds if I can confirm fiment of the universal application.

I really don't know about this one. But I do know that air flow does not like to make 90 degree turns. Give it a try and let us know how it goes!

Regardless, I had considered an electric cutout, but have heard many stories of the motors burning up in them from exhaust heat, some as early as a few months after install. I know QTP makes a nice product, but the thought of it going toast on me sways me away from that route. I'll have to do some research on boost referenced cutouts.
I can't say I've heard of one 'burning up the motor from exhaust heat'. People probably identify that as the failure, but it's just not true. I've run dozens of QTP's over the year. I've seen motors crap out due to owner fault, like leaving the cutout motor running after the valve was open, causing the motor to over heat. Another had the valve stuck closed due to some light rusting from not being opened in a while. Rather than getting under the car and popping the valve open with a light hammer tap, they tried to force the motor to open the stuck valve, which ended up with a burnt out motor. Now I can't speak to the quality of the ebay knockoffs, those I could see burning up due to heat!

I just installed the magnaflow catback exhaust and drove to work today with it for the first time. I love the deep sounds at low rpm and then at higher rpms it is not too loud or ricey. There is some drone in 5th on the highway but push into 6th and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between stock until you get on the gas. Now I know the glasspack muffler should work itself in and produce ab even better sound so I look forward to that!

I am going to be going in for a dyno tomorrow evening to baseline my mods before I tune.

Sorry a little off topic but I now wish I dyno'd before installing the exhaust to see what gains beside the CAI and DP it would have netted.
