The longer ones are for someone with a ZL1 or that needs the extra gap for body molding that sticks out past the fender lip. If you do this, you will have no gaps on an SS or a 1le. I put mine on yesterday and made some videos, I just haven't had a chance to post them up yet.

Also, you can do the install easily without taking the rear wheels off, you just need a T15 torx bit, a small 1/4 inch wrench and an offset Phillips head screw driver. You can take the old screws out and install the rear rock guards in less time than it will take you to jack up the rear, use jack stands and remove the wheels.
Very good info!

I got mine installed on the rear and decided they are not for me. I don't like the mounting system. I am concerned they will flap about since they only have 3 small points of contact for the back.

I have ordered the factory ones since they are custom molded to fit perfectly.

Anybody in Toronto wanna buy a set of front and rears? PM me.

Mine did the exact same thing, I grabbed a roll of the 3m vhb tape from autozone, and re-attached it.

My fronts let go also, from the guard, not the car. I redid them myself last night, with proper prep and 3M VHB, we will see how they hold up..........

ok, so I am not the only one who's front are letting go after only a couple of weeks. I prepped them and everything. They are releasing from the guard and not the car. I even emailed ZL1 Add Ons, not one response from them yet.

Sounds like a crappy way to do business. I bought them thru Amazon, I guess maybe I should just email Amazon and ask for refund.

I thought mine let go from washing too soon.... it happened in a few days after install.... then I noticed what has been mentioned, it is releasing off the guard.... I am thinking it will hold now....

Sounds like junk, hopefully the maker will correct the design.

If you contact John the owner at ZL1addons he will correct the problem. He has very good customer service.
He has a new designed front guard, he installed new ones for me using a heat gun for better adhesiveness.

Call John here 1-858-527-8727

I'll add some more confusion to anyone doing this install.... I tried as per instructions, not even close. Then I tried the suggestion earlier in this thread - again, was creating a large gap.

The only way I got it to work was buy putting the longest spacer (3/4) on the very top. I then had to put the 2 smallest ones on the middle and bottom. This meant I needed to pick up 2 more of the smallest ones at a hardware store (found 1/8 spacers and put 3 of them together). In the end the 4 x 5/8 spacers were not used at all.

Perfect fit though after that! Love them, front and back.
