All the ZL1s sitting in lots now are there for a reason. They all have sunroofs.

The car is drop dead gorgeous, don't compromise its lines with crap like a sun roof. Those things are for women anyway.

yup...my exact thinking and why I was fine going with Sunroof - it should open up the cockpit a bit, but definitely takes away the roof line from an aesthetics viewpoint. I will say, had I built my car, probably would have skipped the sunroof - but I picked up another's order.

Also, I think there are plenty of other aesthetic aspects to this car that losing the roofline will ultimately be negligible.

I LOVE the "reverse mohawk" on the car...and, I need headroom for my helmet...so absolutely no sunroof for me.

Depends on how fast you're rocking it. The blue heavens are a beautiful backdrop for a warm sunny day in the middle of May ... June ... July ... repeat as necessary.

This is going to end up as the new Manual vs. Auto arguments

I agree with where you are coming from, but the car is an absolute beaut regardless - and I truly believe that I will enjoy driving the car more with sunroof, the cockpit is a bit...enclosed due to the high beltline and short front windshield, I believe the sunroof will make it a bit more comfortable.

+1 Without the sun roof the interior feels very confining to me. And the extra fresh air is really nice on a nice day and on a nice night.

The Camaro looks and performs the same either way, with or without.

The down sides? The extra $$ and you have slightly less room for a helmet.

I've never owned a car without a sunroof, until this one. It was purely an aesthetic decision. It looks so much better without.

I also like the sunroof. Everybody has their preferences.

I have to look extremely hard to tell if the car has a sunroof or not..... So I don't see how it messes up the roof line. I like having the option of having it open or closed. Women usually care about small details like that, roof line, really? (to the poster of sunroofs are for women, lol). Should I wear the red dress or the blue dress? This one is low cut, the other has a high cut line. I do notice the roofline on convertibles is different from the hardtop.... Totally different from mine...

My dealer put me in an SS with a sunroof when I first went in to discuss the ZL1 too...even if I liked it, I'm too tall & agree with the others. The reverse mohawk really defines the lines of this car.

What all of you don't realize, is that the Sunroof version got 300 hours in the wind tunnel, and with the roof open it makes it a ZL1 1LE

so....

That's right. There's 300 lbs more downforce with the sunroof open. This is how the manual managed to have a better time around Willow spring than the A10. Chevy just doesn't want anyone to know.

Seriously, my car was a dealer order. Had I ordered it for myself, I wouldn't have picked the sunroof. Now that I have one, and coming from a ZL1 convertible, I actually enjoy it. It gives me the best of both worlds. I have the open top feel of a convertible without all the hassels of caring for a cloth top.
