Failing to disconnect the battery should not set a code. There is no code for 'failure to disconnect battery'. Most commonly, I've seen codes being set for not tightening the clamp from the rear of the tube to the turbo and allowing unmetered air into the engine.

It's not luck. Disconnecting the battery has absolutely nothing to do with installing a CAI. The only reason for disconnecting the battery is to not shock yourself, or damage any electrical components if you somehow make a ground connection with the positive post.

Yeah much louder under load. Even cruising in 6th at 120km + it's loud. You can't hear the engine or exhaust unless you're getting into it past 3500.

I will probably wait to tune until I go turbo back. For now this is fun first mod to enjoy for a while until the weather gets warmer.

I'd also be thinking about a tune at that point. Are you leaning towards any one option?

Honestly I'm pretty certain I am going to go with Trifecta. I have been in contact with them and the support seems there. I tuned an old ride using them about 6 years ago and had only good things to say about their product and service. I know people have been hating on them a little here but that's not going to make me change my mind.

Geez, you were not joking about that fan being loud. I almost couldn't hear what you typed!

Is this supposed to be designed like this? Without a cover on top?

If you put some powder or something on the seal you'll see it on your hood liner it seals alright I modified mine to keep the heat out from the small side and bottom openings.

I was curious about the seal to and did the same thing to see where it made contact. It really is not the perfect fit. A lot of open space at the bottom of the shield too.

The more I think about this, why would you not have a lid on it? Only reason I can think is for easy access. Hot engine bay air has got to be seeping in.
