If you're u have NPP you can go into the setting menu on the mylink and change the exhaust modes to either change with the drive mode or you can change it to whatever you want. One of the modes is stealth.

Weird. Mine definitely starts closed. The first bark from the pipes when it's open is twice as loud in any other mode than stealth. There is no mistaking the difference. I'll record a video of both soon and post them.

It's possible that there was a software update. Regardless, there's no way to switch the modes without first starting the car (unless they changed that too), so it's kind of moot, unless you prepare the night before.

Yes you can. Press and hold the start button without your foot on the brake. After about 5 seconds the car turns everything but the engine on just like a traditional ignition in the run position. Then you can change modes. Also if you shut it off in stealth, it stays in stealth, like I think you were referring to when you said "prepare the night before".
