So what makes the E-85 upgrade easier or more economical on the LT1 than the LS3? I'm thinking Injectors?

so are you saying it comes with a flex fuel sensor or easy to swap and the ECM is set up for this.

I just know it was my next step on my last car and was quite expensive to do.

$375 for inline fuel sensor and $400 tune. That's it. I want it bad.

On the 5th Gens we had to change injectors. No wonder this has taken off on the 6th Gen.

They also gain more than the ls3 and most other na motors. Higher compression better gains from e85. The lt1 is 11.5.1. Ls3 10.7.1.

30-40 hp gains compared to 20-30.

True, and I was going to do it with the LSA. Pretty sure that will be my 1st mod on the LT4 along with lower pulley.

So will this new option make it literally plug and play? Because the whole plugging the 1 wire in myself was holding me back from doing it myself.

If we needed service, and we removed it, would there be a record of its presence in the computer?

Install vid forthcoming?

The install will still require you to add one wire to the ECM connector. This is not difficult. You use a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the plug for that pin location then insert the new pin. Just take your time. I will be doing a full write up on the installation procedure.

The tune will leave a trace in the ECM.

I have very little experience turning a wrench. I've let the pro's do any type of installation for me in the past. If I can do this, it should be a breeze for you. The instructions are pretty straight forward but I felt like a few steps were missing. Unbolting the fuse box really helps with accessing the ECM X1 connector. Also make sure you insert the signal wire all the way in. You'll feel it seating properly when you insert it all the way. I had the DMS kit by the way. EFI's setup seems much more install friendly.

You are going to have a flash count change period.

yes unbold ecm, wish the instructions were in color or just give me a color pdf. It take a while to make sure you have the correct pin, it snaps in and a gentle tug will tell you it is seated. This is a very easy install.
