David Borla is not just a sales rep he's the senior vice President of sales and marketing and he also happens to be related to the owner of the company I'm sure he had lots to do with the price.

It is definitely expensive. Also the #60609 that David Borla recommended does not come with the resonated x-pipe.

Regarding the notion of a "Camaro Tax". With NPP and AFM valves, 2.75" piping, X-Pipe and 4 tips you'll notice that the Camaro exhaust systems are almost identical to the Corvette C7 exhaust systems we sell and the prices are similar as well so this isn't specific to the Camaro. It really comes down to the internals of the mufflers and what it takes to completely eliminate drone with a straight through muffler design. Cut open one of our mufflers and compare what's inside to our competition. Then compare the drone levels and it will start to make sense. The amount of labor and material it takes to manufacture our "no drone" mufflers is far greater than what it takes to make traditional aftermarket mufflers. Again, you need to cut them open to see for yourself. Combine that fact with the investment we made in designing these NOT UNIVERSAL mufflers, add 2 sets of valves, 4 tips, 100% T304 Stainless Steel (Not 400 series like most of the others), a million mile warranty, 100% made in the USA by hand and you'll see there's no other company out there offering all of these benefits in one product. Some companies offer valves but they drone. Some reduce drone but don't offer valves. Some use 400 series stainless steel. Some don't have a warranty or have a very "limited" one. Anyhow, let me know which specific product you want me to address and I will do so. I believe the product you quoted above is a 3" system and T304 3" tubing is even more expensive. Again, we don't use 400 series which is much cheaper and less durable. We use 100% T304. Camaro is one of the most important platforms to us and we've had a long standing relationship with the Camaro community. We know you guys have a lot to choose from, we strive to offer the best possible value to you guys and we've accomplished that. We have a selection of products that vary in price from $800 to $3,000. I'm certain we can find the right exhaust for your price point. |

So what does your setup consist of? I am thinking about upgrading my NPP exhaust and a set of headers.

David I got to hear a local members S Type cat back on his SS a few weeks ago. IMO, it's the quintessential aftermarket exhaust sound every Camaro owner strives for, whether they know it or not.
With that said, are there any options for exhaust tips? I really prefer the smooth lip style instead of the rolled lip. If not, any thoughts to offering the option?
