Agreed. With the fat torque curve of the LT1 it just pulls everywhere instead of getting a big lump of torque at the higher rev range. This kind of makes things less violent as you don't get a dramatic seat of the pants difference but when you look down at the speedometer it reads triple digits.

If you combine that with a more refined chassis, suspension, interior, etc. this is the end result. It is less raw than a gen5 for sure but in a good way. We basically have the refinement of a Cadillac with the LT1 in it.

I'm not sure this is a good thing on a muscle car. We want violent and not have to do triple digits to have fun.

Interesting thought. Not how I feel, and my wife doesn't freak out when I stand on the throttle in the 6th gen.

Want to have fun in a 6th gen? Take it to the drag strip and amaze yourself and others as you crack low 12s high 11's stock.

Laid down a 12.35 on runflats bone stock last night as a group of mustang fanboys watched and pointed. Guess they were looking for easy prey after cheering on their buddies, but they weren't gonna get that with my car. Never saw em again. lol

What track do you go to around DFW? All the tracks I know of around here are 1/8th.

I go to Texas Motorplex in Ennis, it's just South of DFW. This week is the last Friday night test and tune for the season though.

Having owned a BMW 3 series turbo, three M6 fourth gens, three M6 V8 fifth gens I can say the M6 brings a more muscle sporty feel to the CA6 SS. But still refined when just driving, the best of both worlds. The fifth gens are also much more refined than the 4th gens. I do not want to go back to car like the 4th gens. But I liked them at the time.

If you want the best combination of muscle rawness, refinement, handling, and high technology I have ever driven get yourself an M6 5th gen ZL1. Just don't expect good gas milage.
