GET 2 doors.......BUT THEY NEED TO BE 9' DOORS. when building a garage, if you have 2-9 foot doors the garage will actually be wider, and you will have more space between the cars and much less likely to actidently bang doors.
I did a bit of reasearch when building mine.

One big door is better is better than 2 small ones. The only advantage 2 small doors offer is looks. 1 big door will also save you some money.

No matter how big the garage is, you can only get things in and out through the doors.
The 18 foot door is much easier to get in and out of. It allows you to angle in a bit both ways as well ,which nets you some more space. My next garage will be Main section: 28X30 with 1 18 foot door, then 3rd stall will be 14 x 40 with a 10 foot door. Only 7 feet high though, you can get a 2500 truck in a 7 foot door with no issue, I won't ever need more than that. |

Garage door
Ok I sell them for a living. I would definately not recommend an 8' wide door. Hard as hell to get a larger vehicle in without folding in the mirrors. Talk to ur builder about how much room u have. U can get residential doors in 8,9,10,12,14,16,17,18 and 20 as standard widths. Go at least 7' tall and always insulated.

We have two nine foot doors. Makes room between two cars so you don't ding each other.
