Why wouldn't GM include the trans cooler RPO on a full build sheet if it was present on the car? My build sheet for the 2SS has it, see below...

Anyway, if every LT1 A10 gets the trans cooler, that will save me having to install one when I make my mind up about buying one of these cars |

Good question, you saw my build sheet and its not listed. Maybe in your case it was optional on the 8 speed auto trans cars? or GM was hitting the 8 speed SS cars for everything they could? Afterall, the LT1 cars were 3500 less than a 1SS

It was more of a rhetorical question to be honest, GM doesn't really care anymore and it shows in these weird details, too. Guess you're in luck and got a trans cooler for free, let's just look at the bright side of it

How much was added for the 8 speed auto trans on your SS per the window sticker? Maybe the 1595 add for the 10 speed on the LT1 cars covered everything added to the car for the trans? I truly believe every LT1 10 speed gets the cooler and no separate option code.

Heh, I posted the same thing in another thread just a few hours ago: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...&postcount=120
This information is from the GM fleet order book, you can download your copy or view it directly at https://eogld.cloud.gm.com/NASApp/do...1&divisionID=3 (for MY 2023, feel free to tweak the URL for older model years, although GM are quick to remove those from the site).

So, on page 2 it says the RPO should be KD1 for trans cooler but says its unavailable for the LT1. But down to page 9 (what you and LT4 posted) it says RPO code MXO and it is available for the A10. IDK if I'm understanding this correctly or what. Even if I am understanding this correctly, which one is it? |

Correction. MX0 is just the RPO for the Automatic transmission it looks like.
The RPO KD1 does appear to be the correct code for the trans cooler but I see no KD1 or anything of a description of a trans cooler in lt4camaro's build sheet. I also looked on the build sheets of 2 local LT1 cars and they do not have the KD1 RPO codes either. |

This website says “ Further track-oriented upgrades include a variety of extra cooling systems for the Chevy Camaro 1SS, which the LT1 does not have, such as a high-capacity system, an auxiliary engine coolant cooler, a rear differential cooler, and a transmission cooler, all of which are standard on the Camaro 1SS, and not offered on the LT1.”
https://gmauthority.com/blog/2022/02...fferences/amp/ I have to agree with you Arpad_m, it doesn’t look like lt4camaro is supposed to have a trans cooler. |
